TraceFlow Chain features

From raw material reception to shipping to the customer, TraceFlow Chain keeps track of every batch, even without Internet.

Receptions and suppliers

Every delivery gets an automatic batch number; weight, moisture, impurities and temperature are recorded at the dock. Supplier evaluation (calculated score, certificates and expiry dates, approved, under watch or blocked status).

Stock by batch and warehouse

Real-time stock by batch, bulk and packed, several warehouses and sites, threshold alerts, use-by and best-before dates, cycle counts with justified variances, re-weighing of stored batches with moisture and drying loss, minimum maturation time.

Production and manufacturing orders

Recipes, material requirements, FIFO batch allocation with justified manual choice, co-products (for example whole rice, broken rice, grades), by-products and waste put into stock (bran, husks, shells), material balance and yields, continuous production.

Quality control and non-conformities

Tests and analyses by sector (aflatoxins, moisture, histamine…), accepted / quarantine / rejected decisions, non-conformities and corrective actions (CAPA), destruction with a signed report, return to supplier, derogation and downgrading (unbranded sale, animal feed, bedding) with a mandatory note on the delivery note.

Packaging and GS1 labels

Coded units, cases and pallets: GTIN with check digit, SSCC for pallets, GS1-128 barcodes, batch verification QR code, label checks and positive release before shipping.

Shipments and forward / backward traceability

Delivery notes, multi-level backward and forward traceability (materials, semi-finished goods, finished goods, customers) from any code: batch, manufacturing order, pallet, delivery note, complaint or scanned QR code. Audit report exported as PDF, Excel or CSV.

Product recalls

Impact of a batch in seconds (customers and shipments to notify, batches still in stock), recall file, timed mock recall for audits, public batch verification by QR code.

Document management and electronic signature

Quality manual, procedures, HACCP plans, ready-to-use records and templates, automatic codes and versions; electronic signature workflow draft → review → approval with re-authentication, document fingerprint and verification QR code; distribution and read receipts.

Management system

Risks and opportunities, measurable quality objectives, change management, HACCP validation and verification, food defense (TACCP) and food fraud (VACCP), allergen matrix with mandatory cleaning at production changeover, internal audits, automatic management review.

Equipment, hygiene and staff

Metrology and calibration, preventive maintenance, temperature and humidity sensors, environmental monitoring, training and authorisations, confidential HR records (including inclusion and disability, with the employee's consent), badges with colour-coded access zones and passage control (camera, phone, scanner), customer complaints.

Mobile and offline

Android app for field staff (receptions, checks, re-weighing, stock counts, signatures, security rounds), works without Internet and syncs when the network comes back.

Traci, the AI assistant

Built-in assistant that queries company data in several steps, traces a batch, summarises the day, reads documents (PDF, Word, Excel, photo) to fill in records, creates images (posters, training visuals) and prepares entries for the user to approve; ISO 22000, HACCP and EUDR advice.

Connection to Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot (MCP)

MCP server (Model Context Protocol): an external AI assistant reads the company's batches, traceability, non-conformities and recalls with the user's permissions and, only if the user explicitly allows it, creates non-conformities, quarantines a batch or drafts document procedures. On the computer (Claude Desktop extension, all plans) or online (connector https://recall-api.traceflowlabs.com/mcp, Pro Cloud and Enterprise plans).

Frequently asked questions

What is TraceFlow Chain?

TraceFlow Chain is batch traceability and food safety management software (ISO 22000, HACCP) for food manufacturers, agricultural cooperatives and producers. It follows every batch from raw material reception to the delivered customer, and manages production, quality control, GS1 packaging, shipments, product recalls and all quality documentation. It works without an Internet connection (local-first), on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, in English, French, Portuguese and Arabic. It is published by TraceFlow Labs (Cotonou, Benin).

Does TraceFlow Chain work without Internet?

Yes. The software is local-first: data is stored on the computer (and on phones on the same network) and everything works offline. The Cloud plans automatically sync several workstations and the mobile app when the network comes back.

Which devices does it run on?

Windows 10 and 11 (Microsoft Store), macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), Linux (APT repository with automatic updates, Snap Store, AppImage, .deb) and Android.

Which sectors is it for?

Food manufacturers, agricultural cooperatives, exporters and producers: Cereals, rice and flour, Milk and dairy products, Meat, poultry and cured meats, Fish and seafood, Beverages, juices and water, Bakery, pastry and biscuits, Fruit and vegetables, Cocoa, coffee and tea, Oils and fats, Spices, condiments and sauces, and more. Sector profiles adapt the hazards, analyses, co-products and documents offered.

Does it help prepare an ISO 22000 or HACCP audit?

Yes: ready-to-use HACCP plans, procedures and records, forward and backward traceability, timed mock recalls, internal audits and management review. Standards covered: ISO 22000, HACCP (Codex Alimentarius), ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 requirements, GMP ISO 22716 for cosmetics, GS1 coding, readiness for the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The software helps you prepare for certification; it does not issue it.

How does a product recall work?

Enter or scan any code (batch, pallet, delivery note, complaint). The software shows the source materials, the batches produced, the customers delivered and the quantities still in stock, then generates the recall file.

How does it handle downgraded products and by-products?

A batch (or part of it) can be destroyed with a signed report, or downgraded for unbranded sale, animal feed or bedding: a linked batch is created and the intended use is printed on the delivery note. By-products (bran, husks, shells…) are put into stock as traceable batches.

How much does TraceFlow Chain cost?

Download and the trial version are free. Paid plans: Startup PME, Pro Cloud, Enterprise, monthly or yearly, by card or Mobile Money (WAEMU zone). Current prices at https://traceflowchain.traceflowlabs.com/en/pricing.

Can I connect Claude or ChatGPT to TraceFlow Chain?

Yes, through the MCP protocol. Online (Pro Cloud and Enterprise plans), add the connector https://recall-api.traceflowlabs.com/mcp in Claude or ChatGPT and sign in with your TraceFlow account. On the computer (all plans), install the Claude Desktop extension from Settings › AI assistants. Reading and changing data are two separate permissions, revocable at any time.

Who publishes TraceFlow Chain?
